Me, in a nutshell: I am in my thirties... I feel like a little boy, in some ways, more every day. More full of wonder at life, and the Universe around us. I do not believe in a mundane world, devoid of God or other interesting things. I am a male nurse. I have taken care of the elderly, of children, and had my original training as a Combat Nurse in the Army. I also used to do some Search and Rescue on the side for fun, but it didn't pay the bills. I am the active father of two beautiful little girls. I pay child support. I take them for about half the week, every week- something my nursing schedule (three or four 12-hour shifts) lets me do more easily. I also am a very strong supporter of father's rights. My interests are highly eclectic. I love learning. My family sat around the dinner table, discussing theology, politics and the latest developments in science. Great discussions are what it's all about. In fact, they're a huge turn-on. My girlfriend, ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} justblonde1 is both beatiful and highly intelligent.I have lived all over the United States, and been exposed to a wide range of cultures, religions and customs. This has made me both tolerant and adaptable, but it doesn't mean I give anyone carte blanche to act how they please. The common denominator for wise people of every culture and religion is personal responsibility. I love great stories. Books. Movies. You name it. Especially, true stories. Stories are how we pass on our passion from one generation to the next. I also have strong ideas on some matters, but I'm willing to discuss them in an equitable and edifing manner. In fact, I can revel in those sorts of conversations. My favorite scripture is Proverbs 9:8. I have altered some of my positions in response to some ongoing discussions, and much meditation over the issues. I am not a Republican. I am not a Democrat. I do not belong to a political party, and renounced my membership in one years ago. In tests, I tend to come out fairly Libertarian. If you want to know what I think, ask me. And never, ever, try to put words in my mouth, or put me into a little box, if you have any respect at all for myself, or for your own intelligence. Currently, I am a Christian... and seeking to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am part Japanese, descended from Samurai. I'm quite proud of this fact, and spent three years in Japan, in my youth. I am also descended from Vikings in Denmark and Sweden; from Italian stock; Germans; Russians... Pretty much anyone we've ever been at war with. Ultimately? I'm an American.
